This article aims to analyze the trajectory of Garcia de Rezende, highlighting his contribution to education and literature in Espírito Santo, with a focus on his radio education project. The goal is to understand how Rezende, influenced by the New School and educational modernization, implemented significant reforms that promoted the schooling of around 70,000 children and introduced innovative methods, such as the use of cinema and radio in education. The central hypothesis is that his collaboration with intellectuals like Attílio Vivacqua and his active participation in journalism and educational congresses positioned him as a key figure in the modernization of education, advocating for a cultural democracy that expanded access to education. The conclusions indicate that, despite his political distancing during Vargas' government and his later move to Rio de Janeiro, Rezende left a lasting legacy that influenced culture and education in the state - Whether through his work in various newspapers or in education through the implementation of his projects that contributed to the democratization of education.
