Abstract

This article analyzes the trajectory and internationalization of Paulo Freire's thought, highlighting his unique contribution to the consolidation of critical pedagogy on a global scale. Based on bibliographic and documentary review, it investigates the developments of his educational engagement in various contexts, such as Latin America, Africa, Europe, and North America, as well as the impact of his works on the establishment of academic chairs, institutes, and social movements. It is evidenced that his conception of dialogical, humanist, and politically committed education remains highly relevant in the face of contemporary challenges in public education. It concludes that Freire’s ideas constitute a theoretical and practical legacy essential to the struggle for social justice, emancipation, and the transformation of educational structures.
