The article intends to situate the current setbacks in education policies, consequences of the measures forwarded by the Federal Temer and Bolsonaro Governments, with emphasis on the redesign of the educational public policies highlighting, in this context, the unilateral intervention of the Government in spaces of participatory democracy as the National Education Forum (FNE). As a counterposition, it places the movement of construction and consolidation of the Popular National Forum of Education (FNPE) and the Popular National Conference of Education (CONAPE, 2022) as processes of participation of civil society in the national educational debate constituting, therefore, as collective spaces of resistance and proposition of educational policies.
