ESTRATÉGIA PEDAGÓGICA PARA O ENSINO DE ECOLOGIA NO ENSINO MÉDIO

Abstract

By stimulating curiosity and creativity, games provide a playful way to explore complex concepts and develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Therefore, this article addresses an Ecology board game as an auxiliary tool in the teaching of Biology, emphasizing the experiences lived by PIBID scholarship holders, from the Biology subproject of the Federal University of Jataí, in the creation and application of the game to students of a public school in the municipality. The pedagogical objective of the game was to provide a playful and interactive approach to learning ecology concepts, encouraging active student participation and promoting the understanding of knowledge related to the topic and concepts addressed. Students in all classes were receptive to the game, demonstrating enthusiasm and curiosity about this new learning approach. The observation of greater engagement and collaboration on the part of students in some classes, especially in the early years of high school, suggests that playful strategies can be effective in stimulating active student participation and promoting more meaningful learning.
