Abstract

In recent years, the integration of digital technologies into everyday life has transformed teaching and learning processes. In music education, the knowledge and strategies of active and trainee teachers to make effective use of the possibilities of technology have been questioned. The aim of this paper was to analyse the scientific literature on this topic in secondary music education in order to detect teaching perspectives and needs. A systematic search of the scientific production of Web of Science up to 2024 was carried out. After the selection and analysis of a sample of 28 articles, the data were categorised into knowledge, uses and curricular considerations. The main results showed that teachers' lack of training, attitudes, accessibility of resources or curricular deficiencies, together with other factors, conditioned the effective incorporation of technology. The need for research and action on conditioning factors to develop the pedagogical, musical and technological perspective in the teaching practice of music teachers and thus contribute to quality music education was highlighted.
