The integration of Artificial Intelligence in the field of art raises questions about its creative capacity, its influence on the essence and appreciation of art, as well as the role of the artist. This research conducts a systematic review of the literature to address these questions with a focus on music and to understand the state of the art. Currently, there are AIs that have the ability to generate compositions autonomously, raising the question of whether the perception of originality and beauty changes when a machine creates. By simulating cognitive processes, AI provides insights into the manifestation of human creativity. However, human creativity is unique, influenced by emotions and experiences. In contrast, machines rely on replicating pre-existing patterns, but with the right guidance, they can enhance human creativity. Even so, they require constant calibration, relying on human criteria to judge their output. The convergence of technology and creativity has led to debates about ethics and copyright of works. It is crucial that technology be at the service of the human being, underlining the urgency of establishing a firm ethical framework in our digital age.
