Abstract

In musical pedagogies, the use of the body as a musical instrument is advocated since, being innate in humans, it is ideal as an approach to instrumental practice. Body percussion is dedicated to this and incorporating it in the Primary Education stage brings numerous benefits to students. But, like any instrumental practice, students should not carry out their learning autonomously. Thus, this study proposes a computer application capable of helping students in the practice of body percussion, outside the teaching field. Everything from the potential of an active methodology through the use of gamification, in which the playful component is key to increasing motivation. The union of ICT, gamification and body percussion becomes a substantial trinomial to improve this teaching-learning process.
