Abstract

Here we present reflections on the compositional and interpretative process of the work XXXXXX for Brazilian pandeiro solo. The objective is to demonstrate how the use of different techniques of timbre exploration in the pandeiro possible the creation of a sound / innovative musical discourse for this instrument traditionally with the function of rhythmic marking in Brazilian popular music. Interpretative challenges are also required, describing the solutions found by the authors. We hope that the reflections here can be of assistance to relevant composers and interpreters in the use of the Brazilian pandeiro in new musical contexts.

Vitor Lyra Biagioni has a bachelor's degree in percussion from Usp and graduated from Centro Universitário Claretiano. Studying specialization at UFSCAR and master's degree in music at UFU. He is a music educator for the GURI-Ribeirão Preto project.
