Nordoff Robbins scale named “Musicing: Forms of Activity, Stages and Qualities of Engagement” has been used internationally by music therapists to evaluate two categories present in music therapy services: instrumental rhythmic coactivity and singing. For this scale to be used in BrazilI, a validation process is necessary. We chose for this process, the Model presented by Herdman, Fox-Ruby and Badia (1998) has been chosen, which demands 6 types of equivalences: conceptual, item, semantic, operational, measurement and functional equivalence. To evaluate the measurement equivalence in this scale, we calculate agreement percentage and the tetrachoric correlations using analysis of 24 performed by 5 examiners. The results found were reliable in all subdomains of “Musicing: Forms of Activity, Stages and Qualities of Engagement Scale”.
