TEACHING TRAINING FOR RURAL EDUCATION LICENSURE AT UFT FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SPECIAL MUSICAL EDUCATION

Our research is dedicated to understanding how the initial training of future teachers takes place in Rural Education Licensure with a qualification in Arts and Music at the Federal University of Tocantins – UFT, from the perspective of Special Musical Education. Such a study is necessary as there is a scarcity of academic-scientific work on the topic and it is understood that there is a gap between these teaching modalities. Therefore, we intend to comprehend how much the Higher Education Institutions’ training proposition dialogues with the current reality in Brazilian Basic Education classrooms. We assume document analysis as a possible methodology to comprehend the training concept established by the institution. Therefore, considering it is an official document, we focused on the current Curricular Pedagogical Project available on the official UFT website for its course. Based on the country's educational legislative prerogatives, every citizen is guaranteed: access, quality, equity, and accessibility throughout their lives. However, it can be seen from the analysis that there are important gaps in the training process that dialogues with the Special Music Educacion
