This action aimed to make the school Community aware of the importance of actions to encourage the participation of girls in engineering. This action was performed in three public schools, from elementary to high school. Thus, this article aims to present the experience of this project and its impact on partner schools. To know the perception of the school community, questionnaires were applied at the end of each activity performed. Educators and fellows involved in the project participated in semi-structured interviews. The data collection procedures were approved by the Ethics Committee. As a result, it was found that, although the activities were considered positive by the school communities, the greatest impact was on the UFG teachers and students who led the project, as it consisted of a training process that generated opportunities for innovation in the schools. pedagogical activities and in changing their perceptions about the educational system of public schools.
