Abstract

Volume 24 of the journal Música Hodie reflects the vitality and diversity of contemporary music research, bringing together contributions that span the three main research lines of the Graduate Program in Music at the Federal University of Goiás: Interpretative Practices and Composition, Epistemic, Discursive, and Formative Practices, and Music Neuroscience. The articles published in this volume result from inter-institutional and international collaborations, with a strong presence of researchers from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, China, South Korea, Iran, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Malaysia, highlighting the journal’s global and dialogical character.

Author Biography

Anselmo Guerra, Universidade Federal de Goi´ás (UFG), Goi´ânia, Goiás, Brasil, anselmo@ufg.br

Graduated in Composition and Conducting from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1986), master's degree in Computer Science from Universidade de Brasília (1992), and doctorate in Communication and Semiotics from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1997). He was a visiting researcher at CRCA - Center for Research in computing and The Arts at the University of California San Diego (1995/6). He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Goiás. He has experience in the arts, with an emphasis on Computer Music, primarily focusing on the following themes: musical composition, computational music, electroacoustic music, and contemporary music. He was coordinator of the Master of Music at UFG for three terms, and is currently editor of Revista Música Hodie of the graduate program in music at UFG.
