The objective of this article is to reflect on the role of the Bahia State Education Forum (FEEBA) in the organization of Bahia's skilled participation in the National Popular Conference on Education (CONAPE). FEEBA has worked to ensure greater involvement of civil society and social movements associated with education in the debate and formulation of proposals for educational policies in the state of Bahia. Likewise, the Forum has been constituting itself as a space for the growth of social participation in Bahia's education, aiming to monitor and evaluate educational policies. In 2022, completing ten years since its implementation, this space consolidated itself as both a democratic social space and a differentiated mechanism of planning, among other purposes provided for by law, contributing to the structure of democratic management in the context of the reconstruction of a new national project.
