DOI:

The article presents a study on Childhood and Early Childhood Education projects, precisely for preschool, in two different contexts, Brazil and France. In addition, it presents a configuration in the contemporaneity of the education of children from 0 to 6 years old, with political arguments to combat social inequalities and poverty. It seeks to discuss the different collective political actors involved in this debate and the degree of organicity of these groups for the forwarding of proposals both at the international and national levels. In this article, information from several official documents and studies on preschool in these two countries is used. The results show a reduced vision of Childhood and Early Childhood Education and,
although anchored in different realities, it is observed that these two countries are similar in terms of the purpose destined for preschool.
