Abstract

In this article, through literature review, we investigate the possible effects generated by academic productivism in the production in journals of a Graduate Program in Education. It was considered the current state of Brazilian research production that tends to adhere to academic productivism and the formation of the researcher rather than the formation of the university professor. The research was delimited by choosing, by random criterion, a Postgraduate Program in the Education area and, to measure the effects of productivism, the production in journals of the faculty of that Program was considered considering the period of 2000. 2018. In fact, we can see the effects on the production of this Program, with a very significant increase, which is related to the assumption and policy of CAPES in the postgraduate evaluation.
