Aprendizagem por investigação: um relato de experiência sobre Iniciação Científica

The objective of this experience report is to describe the process of scientific initiation developed together
with high school students from a private school in the city of Sorocaba, in the interior of SP. The work was
based on Carvalho's (2011) investigative learning methodology, with the intention of supporting the
development of students' scientific thinking (Sasserom; Caravalho, 2013; Marques; Marandino, 2018;
Penick, 1998). After the experience of guiding the students, it was possible to notice that they were able to
develop the processes of a scientific research, as well as demonstrating that they have a sharp scientific
ability, appropriating the basic understanding of fundamental scientific terms, knowledge and concepts,
they sought to understand the nature of the sciences and the ethical and political factors surrounding the
practice; in addition to developing relationships between science, technology and society in search of
improvement both for society itself and for the environment
