This work intends to weave an analysis about the resumes that were developed by states and the Federal District, from the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), in order to contextualize the national guidelines to the local reality and serve as a reference for teachers who teach in the respective places. The analysis aims to answer the question: did the resumes, in the section dedicated to Geography in the final years of elementary school, use the principles of geographic reasoning, as proposed by the BNCC? The resumes to be analyzed were drawn by random selection methodology, and the main methodology of this work was content analysis. With this study, it is intended to contribute to the Curriculum research area and to the studies destined to the BNCC, a national educational policy relevant to the current context and which has been proposing and provoking numerous changes in the Brazilian education scenario.
