Abstract

The objective of the present study is to analyze the reflections of recently graduated teachers or those who are close to receiving their licentiate degree, regarding their expectations about teaching and reflections on their professional trajectories in face of the current profession scenario, considering the working conditions. To do so, it was carried out a bibliographical analysis, trying to bring elements that show the present precariousness issues, such as remuneration, attractiveness of the teaching career, intensified workload, among other elements. It was brought a parallel with the movie Detachment, which deals with the reality of a public-school teacher, to compose and stimulate reflections about a teacher daily life. As a methodology, it was used narratives, in which it was sought reports from the research subjects, through free speech, to emphasize elements considered fundamental throughout this period. As results, it is listed the concerns, on the part of the subjects, for an adequate remuneration and workload, as well as for the understanding that subjective demands reinforce the urgency for professional valorization and better working conditions.
