In accordance with the theoretical and methodological background of Corpus Linguistic and Phraseology, this study aims to discuss the pedagogical contributions of a bilingual glossary of collocations in the field of medicine, which was compiled from a parallel corpus made up of English and Portuguese subtitles extracted from the TV show House M.D. Based on the glossary, we developed some activities that can be used in the classroom, considering that these phraseological units play an important role in the enrichment of EFL learner’s lexical competence. Moreover, we propose the development of other corpus-based collocational activities.Downloads
