Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the state of the art of rural education in Brazil considering dissertations and theses published from 2017 to 2021. The survey was conducted on the Sucupira platforms of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). It was found that in the distribution of dissertations and theses related to rural education in Brazil, throughout the five years evaluated, 461 were dissertations and 178 were theses, among 639 academic works reviewed. With this, Theses represent 28% of the total and Dissertations 72%, of every 100 Post-Graduates in Field Education from 2017 to 2021, 28 are doctors and 72 are masters. In conclusion, the production surveyed in this period contributes to situating knowledge in field education, and the narratives, in turn, enhance understanding of the research locus.

Doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2023). Integra o Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação Continuada GEPEC, da Faculdade de Educação da UNICAMP e o Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Educação do Campo na Amazônia - GEPERUAZ/ICED/UFPA. Participa do Fórum Paraense de Educação do Campo. Professora adjunta da Faculdade de Etnodiversidade da Universidade Federal do Pará - Campus de Altamira, região da Transamazônica e Xingu.
