The water resources and ecosystems management problems related to the accelerated society and technology changes, requires education transformation to contribute to the reduction of the worrying deterioration reached in water systems due to climate change, pollution, and disasters, subjects considered also in the objectives of the 2030 sustainable development agenda. This problem has been addressed in the integral water management in sustainable hydrosanitary engineering didactics research at UMSA (2009 -2019). The research regarding the insertion of this didactic in 2 universities of La Paz city is presented. The didactic research and insertion are carried out in the period (2009-2019) at UMSA. During period (2019-2022) at UNIVALLE. At least 417 students of the Civil Construction Career (2009-2019), 75 students of Sanitary Engineering (2017) of the UMSA and 210 students of UNIVALLE (2019-2022) were involved in the process that orients their training towards sustainable hydrosanitary engineering. Important results are the formation of the UMSA Emergency Committee (2016) for social interaction and the experience of didactic insertion in UNIVALLE that contribute to the sustainable development goals, disseminated in international congresses of sustainable development (2021) and integral water management (2022) organized by UNIVALLE, with other universities. This action promoted links between research, teaching and university extension.
