Abstract

Introduction: The Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCI) or Integrative and Complementary Practices (PIC), contribute to changes in the health care model. Objective: To promote reflection on the contribution of the PIC outpatient clinic of a public university to access to PIC and professional training. Method: Analytical description of the experience from August/2018 to November/2021, based on reports from academics, volunteer therapists and professors. Results: Perspectives of analysis: process of implantation of the outpatient clinic, the actors involved, promotion of access to PIC and the academic training process. Final considerations: The aforementioned PIC outpatient clinic has contributed to training in the area and to promoting access to PIC, by providing face-to-face and remote care. It has promoted interaction with the community, dissemination of scientific knowledge and professional training through social networks, events and courses.
