Abstract

This article aims to raise discussions about the accessibility of students with disabilities via the extension project of the State University of Goiás. Based on the right to education for any Brazilian citizen, to what extent has the UEG academic community discussed, promoted accessibility and the right to learning? The study was based on studies between academics and teachers through official documents and/or publications that contemplate special-inclusive education and/or specialized educational services - SES and reports the experience of a support teacher with two students, one deaf and one with low vision. The results indicate that the AEE is one of the main actions institutionalized by the law and in a timid way, with all adversities, it minimizes the impact of the lack of assertive public policies, despite the legal provision of the law, without a change in attitude reflected in pedagogical practice, does not guarantee equality of opportunity.
