Abstract

The Tutorial Education Program (PET) aims to expand the training of undergraduates included in it through teaching, research and extension activities. Objective: to analyze the program's contributions to academic and professional training in the perception of graduates. This is a qualitative research, with 23 graduates from PET groups at a University in the Brazilian Midwest, from different undergraduate courses at the institution. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and processed through content analysis. Results: Communication skills, leadership, teamwork, creativity were elements incorporated in the training in the perception of the graduate, helping them to enter graduate studies and the job market. Conclusion: The program is recognized by graduates as an important tool that, through research and extension, contributes to academic and professional training, and to the development of interpersonal and social skills.
