DOI:

This article deals with a systematic review of the literature
in order to identify the state of the art on the Brazilian Sign
Language (Libras) subject in graduate courses in Brazil. The research
resulted from the analysis of eight products obtained from the
following bases: Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo), Coordination
for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes)
and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD).
The data were collected, systematized and analyzed in the period
between January and May 2020 and covered the publication chronology
between 2008 to 2019. The results indicate that the Libras
subject, made mandatory curricular subject in higher education
courses for teachers by Decree nº 5.626 / 2005, has become relevant
in training and, above all, in the reformulation of teaching
knowledge.
