Abstract

This article is a bibliographical review aiming to present
a panoramic view of deaf education in Brazil, that is, how Inclusive
Education was in the past and how it has been (or not been) worked
over the years. In this context, a brief course was made in relation
to the conceptualization of inclusion, in order to discuss and analyze
the inclusive public policy of deaf education and how these phenomena
interfered and / or contributed to the educational historicity
of deaf people in a national view. For this, we use legal documents
and authors who develop studies in the thematic fields related to
the inclusion process, such as Mantoan (2003, 2006), Reis (2013),
Lodi (2013), Salamanca Declaration (1994), National Plan Education
(2001), among others. The analysis points out that the trajectory of
deaf education has historicity full of struggles against prejudice and
in favor of the ratification of Human Rights.
