Evaluation Process
EVALUATION PROCESS
Texts submitted to RCI will be evaluated in a preliminary manner (desk review) checking the alignment of the work with the focus and scope of the journal. After this stage, the texts will be sent to two or three reviewers in a double-blind format (blind review).
Reviewers will evaluate the texts considering these criteria:
Originality of the article and relevance of the topic.
Quality of the text (spelling, grammar, clarity, objectivity and formatting).
Quality and consistency of the literature review.
Adequacy of the methodology used.
Quality of data analysis and/or results.
Quality of final considerations/conclusions.
For each criterion, the reviewer will evaluate the text using a five-point scale (Poor; Weak; Regular; Good and Very Good), in addition to a descriptive evaluation of the work.
Upon completing the evaluation, the reviewers will make a final recommendation on the text, which may be:
To accept.
Mandatory Corrections.
Resubmit it to the evaluation.
Submit it to another magazine.
Reject.
When considering the two or three opinions, the editors will deliberate on the text.
