The main objective of this study is to understand and quantify Brazilian scientific production on music education from 1999 to 2024 in the Scopus and WoS databases, as well as to establish possible relationships between the different units of analysis (articles, journals, authors, countries) and research trends. The sample consisted of 666 articles on music education in Brazilian journals or published by Brazilian authors in journals from other countries. A bibliometric study was chosen based on indicators of production, citation impact, and journal impact. A descriptive analysis of the data (F, M, SD) was performed to present the distribution of the different variables, a correlation analysis was used to detect relationships between variables, an inferential analysis with different techniques and purposes (regression analysis, ANOVA and a Multiple Correspondence Factorial Analysis). The results confirm Brazil's growing scientific production related to Music Education (annual growth rate of 16.01%), especially since 2020, which has even doubled the results of previous years. They also reveal that the most frequently researched topics in Brazil, according to the keywords used by the authors, were related to teacher training, music performance, art, music methodology, and digital technology. In addition, a small group of journals and authors with the highest scientific productivity in Brazil related to Music Education has been identified, and collaboration with other countries has been detected, primarily with the United States, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
