Author Biography

Anselmo Guerra, Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, anselmo@ufg.br

Graduated in Composition and Conducting from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1986), master's degree in Computer Science from Universidade de Brasília (1992), and a doctorate in Communication and Semiotics from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1997). He was a visiting researcher at CRCA - Center for Research in Computing and The Arts at the University of California San Diego (1995/6). Post-doctorate at the Institute of Arts of UNESP in Computer Music (2012).

He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Goiás. He has experience in the Arts area, with an emphasis on Computer Music, acting mainly on the following themes: musical composition, computational music, electroacoustic music, and contemporary music. He was the coordinator of the Master of Music at UFG for three terms and is currently editor of Revista Música Hodie of the graduate program in music at UFG.
