This paper aim is to point out some common issues in Adorno’s reflections about music and the Negative Dialectic philosophical project. Trough the discussion of some musical concepts like developing variation, music material and musical idea, all Schönberg’s concepts, it will be done a discussion in parallel between these concepts and some notions characteristics to the Adorno’s model of dialectics. Finally, it will be sustained that the philosophical experience proper to Adorno and presented principally in Negative Dialectics can be properly understood only if interpreted in relation with some Adorno’s discussions about the temporality experience contained in the music of Beethoven and in that of the second viennense school. Keywords: Modern music; Developing variation; Negative dialectics; Temporality; Critic philosophy.
