This paper was conceived as a result of my constant preoccupation with a musicological work focused on the balance between two views: the musical structure and the socio-cultural scenario with which it interacts. Given the need for an interdisciplinary approach in finding this balance, a dialogue with some elements of discourse analysis and some elements of the basis and conceptual framework of Cultural History, it was possible to realize a musical genre in its three constituent aspects: thematic content, compositional form and style elements of genre and individual. Some approaches to an analysis of the genre choro with the post-modern aspect of Brasilia interaction were used as example. Keywords: Musicology; Interdisciplinarity; Cultural history.
