This article outlines a summary of facts and composers who made up the history of electroacoustic music in Brazil. This is a work based on a survey and bibliographical research of books and articles produced by Brazilian authors on the topic. In this overview we try to cover the first events of the 1950s until the end of the 1990s. We can see a trajectory of growing interest in this musical genre on the part of Brazilian musicians who, even with the difficulties of implementing technical resources in their initial years, were resilient in continuing to invest in the area until in the mid-1970s there was already significant musical production and from the 1980s onwards, the opening to the import of electronics allowed the implementation of the first well- equipped studios. Hence, there was the formation of cadres of composers who no longer needed to train abroad and personal laboratories and studios multiplied in the 1990s
