Abstract

This study is part of a project where we discuss the profile of public school managers in western Paraná. We aim to present and debate the participatory management guidelines developed in the educational policies of the State of Paraná. The qualitative research based on literature review and data analysis from the Prova Brasil contextual questionnaires answered by the managers of state schools. As results we have notes about the reduction of the role of the State in education, decentralizing part of the financial management of schools while maintaining the centrality in the control of processes.
