This article aims to bring reflections on some elements of the works of Joan Miró and Manoel de Barros, proposing critical possibilities for constelatory dialogue that have as reference artists who are in different fields of art and also of production. We seek our analytical framework in Adorno (1970; 2000; 2003), Adorno and Horkheimer (1985) and Benjamin (1994). Therefore, it is a bibliographic systematization based on Critical Theory. Joan Miró and Manoel de Barros presented works that, from an instrumental point of view, might not meet utilitarian expectations, but carry traces of resistance, strangeness and the struggle against a cultural production linked to the dominant ideology. Thus, we believe that taking these reflections to school, valuing the subjects' aesthetic training, is essential in the continuous search for emancipation and freedom.
