A SPECTER TO SURROUND BRAZIL: THE ANTICOMMUNIST IDEOLOGY SPREAD BY THE MAGAZINE A ORDEN

This article aims to present discussions considering the educational nature of the Press and its influence on the production and dissemination of ideas. This is a bibliographical-documentary study, in which priority was given to the circulation of ideas by the magazine A Ordem (1930-1945), produced by the Dom Vital center. The anticommunist advertising of The Order was the basis for the discussion in question. It is understood that the foundations of Catholic thought, generally conservative, that stood in opposition to the liberal thinking in the rise in the country, was manifested and was propagated, essentially, through the magazine The Order. It is concluded that although it was placed in the political field opposed to that of the liberals, Catholic thought was closer to what it was when it came to the "communist threat".
