A sólida formação teórica de professores de Educação Física: identificando contradições e possibilidades na produção do conhecimento a partir do PGEDU/UFBA (2005-2022)

This text deals with the problem of Physical Education Teacher Training. The aim was to analyze the doctoral theses defended at PGEDU/UFBA between 2005 and 2022 and present a synthesis of the degree of development of knowledge on the principle of solid theoretical training, defended by ANFOPE. Based on dialectical historical materialism, we analyzed nine theses defended at UFBA, the institution with the largest number of productions on this subject in the country. We recovered the logic of these studies and the dynamics of reality that they express. The studies converge in the finding of fragmentation and denial of knowledge in initial training and present theoretical-methodological elements for training in a single Extended Degree course in Physical Education.
