Abstract

Abstract

During the evolution of football, a department responsible for providing the coaching staff with relevant game-related information emerged. Objective: The central objective was to investigate, through game analysis protocols, the gathered information, the coach's involvement, and to understand their management. Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with four (4) performance analysts working for clubs affiliated with the Brazilian Football Confederation. Results: From the data analysis, it was possible to divide the findings into three groups: Relationship with the coach, analysis method, and reflection on the role. Conclusion: It is necessary to create a learning environment with discussions about the challenges that the game demands from athletes using tools that assist in pedagogical practice.
