The present study sought to identify and analyze aspects that characterize Physical Education classes in prison units located in the Região dos Inconfidentes, MG. Through a qualitative research, from the semi structured interview with Physical Education teachers working in prison schools. It was identified that, due to the rules imposed by the prison units, Physical Education classes undergo adaptations to take place in classrooms, with the prohibition and/or restriction of the use of teaching materials and certain teaching methodologies. In addition, there is an almost absence of body movements, which ends up subverting the logic and precepts of school Physical Education, based on the concept of Cultura Corporal de Movimento and objectives defined by legal documents.
