O corpo em cena: reflexões para a educação escolar

The objective of this essay was to reflect on the body in the scenario of school education. Initially, there was a concern to address how the body phenomenon has been perceived in the school environment. Next, it was highlighted how it has been the subject of extensive discussions in the First Cycle of Elementary Education via the approach of corporeality. The final considerations allow us to reflect that, if we direct our look at the body in school, we will realize that the educational processes still remain rooted in a perspective of wanting to educate the bodies to be agile, strong, beautiful, healthy and intelligent. However, they forget to look at the student who goes to school as a subject with a whole body.
