Mentoring and Diversity Management in Global Enterprises

Objective o map the scientific production on mentoring and diversity management in the Scopus database, with the time frame of 2009-2018, to identify organizational practices that are related to social integration and knowledge sharing as support to the process of learning in global companies. It is a qualitative research made possible by the techniques of bibliometric study and contextual analysis. The results highlighting mentoring as an alternative for promoting diversity and reducing barriers to minority groups, especially in education and professional training in health. It was not demonstrated the specific intention of applying the researched themes to facilitate the process of social integration and organizational learning, since only the psychosocial functions of support and guidance of mentoring, of a spontaneous character, were identified. Three dimensions of the relationship between mentoring and diversity management could be raised and these could support future studies, being: Practices of social integration and knowledge sharing; Formal mentoring and Mentoring as an inclusive strategy, for the development of social and emotional skills in groups considered minority.
