Abstract

Electronic games are increasingly present in Brazilians daily life. Data from Game Brasil Research (PGB, 2015) show that this entertainment activity is used as an interaction way by parents and children. However, although this is a very widespread activity, the Brazilian school context still does not reflect this reality in the same way, especially when it comes to videogames, because it does not appropriate this universe in order to achieve the teaching and learning process. Given this scenario, this work aims to develop a didactic lesson plan by using Street Fighter II game as a possibility of analyze the geographic landscape in Geography teaching. The methodology used in this proposal is based on bibliographical references and documents about the main subject matters - electronic games, videogame, Street Fighter II game, school geography and the concept of geographical landscape -, by reference and inspiration to the experience developed by the Center for Games Activities and Teaching Methodology (NuGAME) of Dom Pedro II College.
