Abstract

This paper critically analyzes the capture of education by neoliberal rationality, which reduces it to a training process for precarious work, deepening colonial violence. In contrast, it mobilizes the thought of Nêgo Bispo (Antônio Bispo dos Santos), distinguishing “creation” – an organic and communitarian formation process – from hegemonic “training” (adestramento). Opposing this link between oppressive work and education, this paper addresses a Vagabond Philosophy as a political and epistemic refusal of the logic of alienated labor, in dialogue with African perspectives about work. As an alternative horizon, we propose a Creational Afro-Pindoramic Philosophy, grounded in the confluence of the struggles and knowledge of African peoples – from the continent and diaspora – and Brazilian Indigenous peoples. It articulates educational principles based on orality, corporeality, ancestry, the relationship with the territory, and the inseparability of learning and struggling. The text aims to contribute to the construction of counter-colonial and anti-racist frameworks for the field surrounding philosophical reflections on formation.
