This article presents research results that aimed to discuss structuring theoretical elements of geographic thinking, concepts and logical principles as a method for teaching and learning Geography in Basic Education. The methodological course of the research is based on the qualitative approach. To this end, bibliographic research was used as methodological procedures for the collection of theoretical information and content analysis in the identification of indicator elements in the sentences of the arguments of the selected authors to compose the analysis and discussions of the results. Given the methodological operationalization, the discussion of the results took place from the articulation in central axes: geographical thinking and logical concepts and principles as a method for teaching. The results indicate that the contemporary world has become increasingly complex in the context of the expansion of the globalization process. In this context, it is argued that the mobilization of structuring elements of geographic thought, concepts and logical principles, are powerful symbolic instruments for the geographical analysis of reality in a critical-reflexive way. Therefore, it is indicated to develop and stimulate the mobilization of geographic concepts and principles as a method for teaching and learning in Geography, as they structure and guide the activity of geographic thinking of the subjects in the geographic analysis of reality.
