The present work aims to identify and analyze the contributions of the “We propose!” for teachers and participating students, from the teachers' point of view. Therefore, this work is a part of a larger research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Education of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo University (FFCLRP/USP). The methodology used was qualitative, in which interviews were carried out with five teachers participating in the aforementioned project, in the municipalities of Ibitinga, Marília, Mococa and Serrana, in the state of São Paulo/Brazil. The work is divided into four parts, starting with an explanation of the relationship between Traditional and Innovative Geography teaching. In the second part, we highlight some considerations of the project, in a perspective that meets the demands of citizenship and an Innovative Geography teaching. In the third part, we carried out an analysis of the category “Project contributions for teachers and students”, as a part of the master's research. In the fourth part we elaborate finals considerations. The results obtained indicate a possible path for the personal and professional resignification of the participating teachers. In addition, the realization of the project developed participatory and critical students through pedagogical practices of investigation and intervention of local problems.
