ENCHANTING CITIES, EDUCATING CITIES: WAYS TO AN EDUCATIONAL CITY

The article aims to analyze the contributions of the International Movement of Educating Cities and their possible contributions to basic education in Brazil, diagnosing its relevance to citizen practice, as well as highlighting its guiding principles, suggesting ways for the constitution of these formal educational spaces. and not formal. At the same time, problematize the relevant points of the urban question as challenges for the construction of an educating city and for the teaching of Geography in the contemporary world, which is increasingly complex and dynamic. Seeking, from the multiple uses of the city, the construction of an educational project that, on the one hand, dialogues with the stories and territories of the multiple subjects who build the cities and, on the other hand, dialoguing with a dynamic and active educational practice. This article takes as a reference the experience developed in the city of Ananindeua, Pará, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. The activity developed was the creation of a Geo-tourist and educational itinerary in the city, in Ananindeua developed for elementary school students.
