Abstract

The article reflects on possible distinctions and relationships between the notions of geographical education and teaching geography, as well as the practices that can be associated with these notions. It firstly establishes some distinctions and relationships between education and teaching. It then discusses notions of geographical education and teaching geography relating theoretical references to possibilities for educational practices. Faced with the alternatives made possible by the notions of geographical education, it proposes the perspective of otherness to change the teaching of geography.
