In-service portuguese language teachers’ beliefs and expectations in the master’s program Profletras

This research is a qualitative-interpretative study carried out with Portuguese Language teachers of public schools from Mato Grosso State. They form the first class of the Professional Master’s Program in Letters (PROFLETRAS), in UNEMAT/Sinop. The data were collected through open questionnaires. From the theorizations on literacy studies, beliefs and teacher as literacy agents education, it is discussed how the group conceives language concepts, alphabetization and literacy(ies), and the school and Portuguese teacher’s role. We also socialize how the practice of Portuguese classes happens and the aspirations of the group from the reflections proposed by the program.Downloads
