Abstract

The concept of Conversation appears in several fields and is also used as a device of Psychoanalysis, in which it is necessary that the Conversation be mediated by an analyst to configure it as such. Clinical Conversations were initially conceived by Jacques-Alain Miller for clinical meetings between psychoanalysts. The device of Conversation can be a device of psychoanalysis in extension. This is because Conversation promotes meetings so that there is a “collectivized free association”, the word circulating from the interlocution with the other, so that the subject can move something from his position in the face of his discomfort, producing effects of decreasing anguish. Conversation appears as an experience from which something of the subject effect can be gathered. A bet on the encounter and knowledge of each one as openings for something new to emerge in the discourse.
