The extension project "Teacher training and Libras Translators and Interpreters: the discipline of Libras with these professionals" emerged from the need to discuss the interaction between education professionals and TILS in the process of school inclusion of the deaf, in regular education, specifically directed to what proposes the Common National Curriculum Base - BNCC. The extension action presented in this Visual Essay stands out for promoting a discussion in the academic sphere about the relationship between teaching activities and the presence of the TILS professional in regular education, especially when the BNCC, which recognizes Libras as the natural language of the deaf, however, on the contrary, it leaves it out of the knowledge area of Languages and its technologies. This is even worse when it is understood that most teachers are unaware of the role of the professional educational interpreter in the teaching and learning process of deaf students. Discussions throughout the actions aimed to relate teacher education to the performance of professional educational interpreters -TILS. And as specific: knowing the role and relevance of the professional educational interpreter, when acting together with the teacher in the classroom; reflect on academic training as a possibility to instruct and/or train people; explore the knowledge acquired during this training, in an interdisciplinary practice, with the TILS and, finally, discuss educational actions contemplated, through the general and specific competences of the BNCC, in the form of short courses, thus helping in the continuing education of these professionals.
