Abstract

This article aims to socialize the results of reading
and writing proposals of the extension project “Reading and
writing exercises based on short stories and chronicles by
Brazilian women writers”. For the workshops, we selected
short stories and chronicles by Brazilian women authors,
with the aim of encouraging reflection, reading and writing
on the various themes that involve women's writing. In the
article, we will share the results of the workshops in which
we worked on the chronicle “Companheiras”, by the writer
from Pará Eneida de Moraes (1903-1971). These results
revealed the importance of interpretive reading, which
included the stages of literary literacy. With regard to
writing, we observed that textual productions pointed to
creative writing as an important element to encourage
students to understand the functioning of their texts, based
on (re)writing, on their individual and collective experiences.
We used Cosson (2018), Ribeiro (2017), Tauveron (2014) and
others.
